Monica is an American teacher who obtained her Bachelor’s degree from the Florida State University. Upon graduation, she worked as a teen youth counselor, supervising their personal and educational decisions and goals. From there, Monica joined the United States Air Force. Her military service had brought her to the Middle East, where she was able to spend some time in Kuwait.
Monica began her English training at the British Council. After completing her CELTA training, she began teaching General English courses part-time at the British Institute of Training and Education. Upon being hired as a full-time English Teacher, Monica began teaching additional classes, such as Conversation courses and Private Tutoring. She is also relied on for proofreading corporate marketing and promotional materials for the company and parent company.
Supervision of part-time teachers also became a requirement, and Monica took on the additional responsibilities of scheduling support staff and ensuring all paperwork was properly coordinated and processed.
Having familiarized herself with the courses for the general public, increased experience then came in the form of contracts with government offices such as Kuwaiti Customs. More recently was the completion of a customized IELTS Preparatory Course for Kuwait’s Ministry of Defence.
Having worked with a wide range of nationalities and customer base provides Monica with a strong understanding, empathy, and clear course plan for what the learner is wanting to achieve, for either professional or personal goals.
